Title: Enhancing your Goods-To-person system with Pouch Technology
Description:
A basic Goods-to-Person (GtP) system can be configured as an inventory buffer or a pick system or both. No matter the setup, the majority of the system's capacity will still be allocated for basic warehousing needs like receiving, storing and picking. Post picking processes like ship order consolidation, sortation, sequencing & shipping will need advance configuration of the GtP or an additional high-capacity subsystem that can interface with the GtP. This is where a pouch system will offer as a consolidation buffer system that will be complimentary to the existing GtP setup without any need for complicated setup. The pouch system can be used as a clever “post pick” inventory system (acting as a ship buffer) along with its ability to sort, consolidate and sequence the shipping orders. The pouch system offers high flexibility and scalability that can seamlessly integrated into any existing GtP setup. Additionally, on the warehouse management software side, the pouch system offers a state of the warehouse management system that can help digitize the shipping process from inventory management to ship order consolidation.
