Chris Aprile

Chris Aprile is a Senior Structural Engineer at Steel King Industries, Inc. and serves as a Qualified Design Professional (QDP) for the company in the material handling industry. As a QDP, he certifies individual rack systems, ensuring designs meet all the latest RMI standards for Steel King. Chris transitioned from being a subject matter expert with over two decades of engineering and management experience in the energy industry and now designs and analyzes storage rack systems ranging from simple selective to complex pick modules, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. He provides technical leadership, mentors junior engineers, and solves complex structural issues, ensuring adherence to standards and collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, maintainable systems to customers. Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of Louisville, KY.
